As previously mentioned, this module functions as a Sensor Interface Module (SIM) within the Bently Nevada 3500/32 DCS. It serves as a critical link between the DCS and vibration sensors mounted on rotating machinery. Its primary responsibilities include:

Signal Conditioning: Amplifies and filters vibration sensor signals to prepare them for processing.
Data Acquisition: Converts analog vibration signals into digital data for transmission to the DCS.
Communication: Transmits and receives data between the sensors and the DCS using a proprietary Bently Nevada protocol.
