The Bently Nevada 3500/61 Temperature Monitor provides six temperature monitoring channels and accepts resistance temperature detector (RTD) and thermocouple (TC) temperature inputs. These modules adjust these inputs and compare them to user programmable alarm setpoints. The 3500/61 provides the same functionality, except that the 3500/61 provides recorder output for each of its six channels.
The user uses the 3500 rack configuration software to program the module to perform RTD or TC temperature measurements. Different I/O modules can be used for RTD/TC non isolated or TC isolated versions. Users can configure RTD/TC non isolated versions to accept TC or RTD, or a mix of TC and RTD inputs. The TC isolated version provides 250 Vdc inter channel isolation to prevent external interference.
When used in a Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) configuration, temperature monitors must be installed side by side in groups of three. When used in this configuration, the system employs two types of voting to ensure accurate operation and avoid single points of failure.
