Allen Bradley 1746-ITB16 is an SLC 500 digital DC input module. 1746-ITB16 is a fast response DC injection type input module. The module has the ability to support a voltage range of 10-30V DC. There are 16 inputs and 16 points per common terminal on the module. 1746-ITB16 is designed for fast response applications and runs efficiently and quickly. The input module receives analog data and stores it in a digital format in its data image table. This allows all other fixed and modular SLC 500 processors to retrieve data. The 1746-ITB16 supports up to eight independent actuators or sensors for connecting various applications. Input modules save cost and space by using a shared hardware platform with multiple analog and digital input/output combinations. A convenient feature of 1746-ITB16 is a removable termination block that allows you to configure your system without having to rewire it. The input module also has LED indicators that can display the status of module inputs, making troubleshooting easier. It can be accessed using ladder programming logic. In addition, 1746-ITB 16 has an optical coupling and filter circuit for reducing signal noise.
The backplane load current of 1746-ITB 16 is 85 mA at 5 V. In the off state, the voltage is 5V DC and the maximum current is 1.5mA. The nominal current input is 8mA at 24V DC and the maximum current consumed is 3.6W. 1746 – ITB16 has a signal delay of 0.5 ms in the off state and 0.3 ms in the on state. 1746-ITB16 can operate in a temperature range of 0-60 degrees Celsius (32-140 degrees Fahrenheit), with a relative humidity range of 5-95%, and is non condensing.
