1756-A13 is Allen Bradley’s ControlLogix chassis. This chassis provides a module housing with 13 module slots for installing ControlLogix controllers and I/O modules. In addition to providing installation slots, the chassis also carries the electronic circuits that make up the backplane. The backplane distributes the current used by each module to stimulate the normal operation of each circuit.

1756-A13 only supports horizontal installation. The minimum cabinet size required to install it is 60.9 x 76.2 x 20.3 centimeters (24 x 30 x 8 inches) and weighs 1.90 kilograms (4.2 pounds). It is directly installed onto the enclosure sub panel through the installation tabs provided at the top and bottom of the chassis.
