Requirements for Trusted TMR System

 

The Trusted TMR System requires at least one controller component and a power system, and may also require an expansion system. The controller component has a T8100 Trusted Controller Chassis to accommodate the basic modules: • One T8111 or T8110 Trusted TMR processor.

 

A T8311 Trusted Expander Interface module is used to provide the interface between the controller chassis and the CS300 chassis A T8151B Trusted Communication Interface used to connect engineering workstations to Ethernet interfaces of other Trusted systems or third-party devices (if present). (T8151C conformal coating version can also be used) A T8153 trusted communication interface adapter that allows physical connection to the T8151B trusted communication interface. The T8100 trusted controller chassis must be installed in a rack with doors and side panels, and the doors must be kept closed during normal operation. This enables the 8162 bridge module to comply with its EMC specifications without compromising performance. The front door can have a window so that you can see the LED. The CS300 device must be inside the cabinet and properly grounded (refer to the physical installation design on page 77). Table C2 provides a complete list of all trusted projects required for migration.

The TrustedTM TMR Expander Interface module resides in the TrustedTM Controller Chassis and

provides the‘master’interface between the Inter-Module Bus(IMB)in the Controller Chassis and the

Expander Bus.The Expander Bus allows multiple chassis systems to be implemented using UTP

cable connections whilst maintaining the fault tolerant,high bandwidth IMB capabilities.

The module provides fault containment for the Expander Bus,the module itself and the IMB in the

Controller Chassis,ensuring that the effects of these potential faults are localised and system

availability maximised.The module is fault tolerant with HIFT TMR architecture.Comprehensive

diagnostics,monitoring and testing provide rapid fault identification.Hot standby and module spare

slot configurations are supported,allowing automatic and manual repair strategies.
