ICS TRIPLEX T9110 Low Voltage Control Circuit Connected to SSR

The T9110 hybrid relay has parallel EMR and SSR internally.

The sequence of operations is:

Firstly,the low voltage control circuit is turned on(excites)the SSR.

The high load current is borne by SSR.

Because there is no mechanical part,there is no arc problem.

Secondly,the low voltage control circuit opens(excites)the EMR.

Due to the coil being energized but not carrying high load current,the armature contact will not generate an arc.

After the EMR contact is attracted for a period of time,the control circuit no longer controls the SSR.

As long as the EMR is powered on,it can control the load current without wasting any power loss into thermal energy.

Among various relays,T9110 has the simplest structure.

Reed relays utilize the working principle of electromagnetic fields.The relay consists of an electromagnetic coil,a reed switch,and a back electromotive force protection diode.

A reed switch is a switch composed of two metal blades made of ferromagnetic materials.These blades are sealed in a glass tube filled with inert gas.

The electromagnetic coil is wound around the reed switch,which serves as the armature.Both ends of the reed switch are connected to the input and output of the circuit.

This type of relay uses the same principle as electromechanical relays(EMR).
