330930-065-01-00 Function Description
The 3300 XL NSv transducer system is mainly used in locations where conventional Bentley Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8mm transducer systems cannot be used due to counterbore, side view, or rear view limitations.
It is also very suitable for applications involving small targets, including monitoring radial vibrations of shafts below 51 millimeters (2 inches) or axial positions of planar targets below 15 millimeters (0.6 inches). The following oil film bearing machines are usually used when the shaft is narrow or the side view is limited.
Bently Nevada’s previous 3300 RAM proximity probes and extension cables were mechanically and electrically interchangeable with 3300 NSv probes and cables.
The NSv probe can be used in many process compressor applications because it has stronger chemical resistance than the 3300 RAM probe. When the distance between the 3300 NSv probe and the probe target is the same as the 3000 series 190 probe, the side view characteristics of the 3300 NSv probe are also better.
