RIO topology with redundant cables: When there are each I/O sub station on the system, a MA0185100 T-connector is required. The reason is that you must electrically isolate the substation from the main cable. This way, your system can prevent potential impedance mismatches and cable disconnections. You must maintain a signal strength of at least 14 decibels between each I/O substation and the trunk cable. There is a signal loss of 1 decibel when the relay cable passes through the T-connector.
