1336-GM1 AB
The 1336-GM1 board is an optional interface module designed by Allen Bradley. Its purpose is to provide a digital connection from a programmable controller to Allen Bradley’s SCANport product. Unlike other remote I/O communication modules in our company, it is an open module with power from the driver. The 1336-GM1 board is directly connected to the SCANport device. It has an internal connector for connecting SCANport devices and a remote I/O connector for connecting remote I/O cables. It is compatible with 1336 IMPACT Drive, 1336 PLUS AC Drive, 1336 PLUS II Drive, and 1336 FORCE Drive. The board has a DIP switch that allows the user to configure the performance of the module before connecting to the board. The user can also program the response of the DIP switch in the event of a communication error.
Before installing 1336-GM1, it is important to read the safety precautions in the manual. The manual also includes steps to configure the module through DIP switches and create ladder logic programs to communicate with SCANport devices. Like other communication modules from Allen Bradley, the 1336-GM1 contains electrostatic discharge sensitive components. It is important to use electrostatic control precautions to ensure the safety of the circuit board during module installation. Only personnel familiar with SCANport equipment and related machinery can plan or install the 1336-GM1 module.
