The Allen-Bradley 1440-ACNR module is an XM ControlNet adapter module. It serves as a communication adapter module for the Allen-Bradley 1440-DYN02-01RJ module by providing an interface for controlling the module on the XM bus. Its main function is to transfer data to the processor through the ControlNet network. From a hardware perspective, the Allen Bradley 1440-ACNR XM ControlNet Adapter Module has four status LEDs that indicate the status of the adapter, backplane, and network. It also has two channels (A and B) and coaxial cable sockets for BNC connections, as well as ControlNet node address push switches for configuring module node addresses. For external communication and configuration, it provides a network access port (NAP) as a programming interface for maintenance and I/O monitoring. The Allen Bradley 1440-ACNR XM ControlNet Adapter Module needs to be connected to a 24 volt power supply, and due to its open architecture, it is designed to be installed in a suitably protected enclosure.
