1440-TB-B AB

The 1440-TB-A module is compatible with most tachometer signal sources, such as passive magnetic probes, eddy current probes, and other tachometer sensors (active and passive). The outputs include digital measurements that can communicate through the DeviceNet network, two 4 to 20 mA analog outputs, and an onboard relay. Each vibration output channel and tachometer input has an output buffer. The 1440-TB-A module supports advanced alarm relay logic and onboard processing of critical vibration parameters. In addition, the 1440-TB-A module can operate independently or distribute data to integrated control and automation systems. These systems can prevent machine failures or notify the operator of abnormal conditions or failures. The operation of the 1440-TB-A module requires the XM-940 Dynamic Measurement Module terminal base unit, which is not included in the packaging. The XM-940 module base unit is a DIN rail mounted base unit that provides termination for the field wiring required for the XM vibration module, including the 1440-TB-A standard dynamic measurement module.

About 1440-TB-A

The Allen Bradley 1440-TB-A module is a standard dynamic measurement module that is part of the Allen Bradley XM series. This module belongs to a group of distributed machine state protection and monitoring devices. The 1440-TB-A module is a 2-channel general-purpose monitor for measuring dynamic inputs such as pressure, vibration, position, and strain measurements. This module mainly monitors the vibration of housings, shafts, and bases in rotating equipment. Acceptable inputs include non-contact eddy current probes, velocity sensors, standard integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) accelerometers, and DC or AC voltage output measurement devices. In addition, the 1440-TB-A module also supports tachometer inputs that provide speed measurement and order analysis functions.
