About 1756-L62
Allen Bradley 1756-L62 is a discontinued ControlLogix controller with 4MB of integrated user memory. The controller entered the shutdown phase on June 1, 2017 and has a functional replacement of 1756-L72, therefore the module is a spare part. In addition, the entire 1756-L62x has been functionally replaced by 1756-L72x.
ControlLogix controllers can achieve complex control of large and medium-sized processes. It can be used for factory or process automation applications. It can handle up to 128000 I/O.
The controller needs to download the user program to it. Both the A series and B series are compatible with any version of RSLinx.
Allen Bradley 1756-L62 is a ControlLogix controller. It has 4 MB of integrated user memory and 478 KB of I/O memory. Optional non volatile memory can be installed for this controller to expand internal memory using CompactFlash 1784-CF128. This controller is only compatible with certain 1756 chassis, namely 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and 1756-A17. There are two types of 1756-L62, A series and B series.
1756-L62 supports 32 tasks, each with 100 programs, and even tasks that include all event triggers. It also has an RS232 serial port that supports multiple communication protocols. The protocols supported by the RS232 port include DH-485, DF1 radio modem, DF1 full/half duplex, Modbus through logic, and ASCII. The controller also supports other communication protocols, such as remote I/O, ControlNet, SynchLink, EtherNet/IP, third-party process and device networks, Data Highway Plus, and DeviceNet. It can support up to 250 controller connections and also provides comprehensive support for controller redundancy.
The maximum total I/O of this controller is 128000, the maximum analog I/O is 4000, and the maximum digital I/O is 128000. It has a current consumption of 14 mA at 24V DC and 1200 mA at 5.1V DC. It has an isolation voltage of 30V (continuous) and has been type tested for 60 seconds at 720V DC. The heat dissipation of 1756-L62 is 11.9 BTU/hr, and the power consumption is 3.5 W. Its storage temperature range is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, and its working temperature is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. It also has a non condensing relative humidity of 5% to 95% and a maximum ambient air temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. It has a vibration of 2 g at 10 to 500 Hz, a working shock of 30 g, and a non working shock of 50 g.
