About 1756-L63

1756-L63 is Allen Bradley’s Programmable Automation Controller (PAC). This controller is part of the early Logix controller versions and is part of the 5560 product series. This controller comes with an RS232 serial communication interface as the primary communication port, but it supports other communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Data Highway Plus, Remote I/O, SynchLink, and other third-party communication protocols. The Allen Bradley communication adapter is installed and includes a partner module.

1756-L63 is a chassis based controller. Install various ControlLogix enclosures such as 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and 1756-A17. It is also compatible with standard and redundant power supplies, such as 1756-PA50, 1756-PA72, 1756-PA75, 1756-PB50, 1756-PB72, 1756-PB75 or 1756-PA75R, 1756-PB75R, 1756-PSCA2, respectively. It supports the use of serial real-time communication systems (SERCOS), analog options through encoder inputs, LDT inputs, SSI inputs, and motion on Ethernet I/P networks to achieve controller redundancy and integrated motion.

This controller is equipped with 8 MB of user memory and 478 KB of I/O memory. It can add non volatile memory storage through 1784-CF128 with only 128 MB of memory size. For I/O interfaces, the controller supports up to 128000 discrete input and output signals as well as 4000 analog input and output signals. It uses battery backed random access memory (RAM) with battery part numbers 1756-BA1, 1756-BATM, and 1756-BATA (for A-series controllers and 1756-BA2 series B controllers).

he 1756-L63 controller has a built-in RS-132 serial communication port. The communication options available for this controller include DeviceNet, ControlNet, EtherNet/IP, SynchLink, Remote I/O, Data Highway Plus, and third-party process and device networks. The serial port communication modules supported by this controller are Modbus via logic, DH-485, DF1 radio modem, ASCII, and DF1 full/half duplex modules. The continuous isolation voltage of the 1756-L63 controller is 30 volts and has a basic insulation type. It also underwent type testing for 60 seconds at a DC voltage of 720 volts. It has a power consumption of 3.5 W and a thermal dissipation of 11.9 BTU/hour. It has a current consumption of 1200 mA at 5.1 V DC and 14 mA at 24 V DC. It has a vibration of 2 g at 10 to 500 Hz. The working shock of the 1756-L63 controller is 30 g, and the non working shock is 50 g. It also has a working temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and a non working temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. It also has a maximum ambient air temperature of 60 degrees Celsius.
