1769-IF4

Description: The Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1769-IF4 module is a CompactLogix series analog module. It is an input module that requires Belden or equivalent cables for wiring. The 1769-IF4 analog input module can support differential input, single ended sensor and transmitter input, and mixed transmitter input. This input module is powered by an external power supply with a voltage range of 20.4 to 26.4 volts DC and a rated current of at least 60 milliamperes. The 1769-IF4 analog input module can be configured with I/O memory mapping.

About 1769-IF4

1769-IF4 is an analog input module used in conjunction with Allen Bradley’s MicroLogix 1500 and 1769 CompactLogix series controllers.

The four (4) input channels of this module are individually configured to receive current and voltage signals within the range of 0-21 mA; The current is 3.2-21 mA, and the voltage is ± 10.5V DC, -0.5… 10.5V DC, -0.5… 5.25V DC, and 0.5… 5.25V DC. The nominal current signal is 0-20 mA and 4-20mA, and the available voltage signals are+/10VDC, 1-5VDC, 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC. This module integrates an analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) circuit with a conversion type of Delta Sigma. The conversion resolution of this module is 14 bits or unipolarity and 14 bits plus or bipolar. The data processed by the module can be configured in data formats such as engineering units, PID ratios, percentage ranges, and raw data.

The 1769 Compact I/O module can be fine-tuned using the provided parameters, such as process alarms, input filters, real-time sampling, alarm dead zones, etc. When the channel is enabled, internal open circuit detection is automatically enabled. This open circuit detection also activates the module’s under range error bit. When the module detects an error, it can let the controller know and display a non fatal system error, which may be further linked to the monitoring system, such as the Human Machine Interface (HMI) or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

Allen Bradley 1769-IF4 is a Compact I/O analog module. It can convert and store analog data digitally. This module provides four differential or single ended channels, which can perform automatic calibration when initially enabled in one channel or when the configuration of that channel is different from the previous channel. Please note that this module does not provide loop power for analog inputs and must have a power supply that matches the specifications of the input transmitter. Users can connect the channels of the 1769-IF4 module as single ended or differential inputs. The 1769-IF4 also has a common mode rejection ratio of more than 60 dB and a normal mode rejection ratio of – 50 dB at 50 to 60 Hz. It has an open housing that can be installed on DIN rails or panel mounting brackets. The connecting cables compatible with 1769-IF4 are 22-14 AWG solid cables and 22-16 AWG stranded cables. The module also comes with an LED status indicator light, measuring 87 x 35 x 118 millimeters.

The input range of 1769-IF4 is+/-10 volts, 0 to 10 volts, 0 to 5 volts, 1 to 5 volts, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA. The maximum current consumption of A series and B series modules is 5 volts DC, while the maximum current consumption of B series modules is 24 volts DC. The rated working voltage is 30 volts AC or DC, and the common mode voltage range is a maximum of+/-10 volts per channel. The storage temperature requirement for 1769-IF4 is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, while its operating temperature is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The working vibration of this module is 5 g at 10 to 500 Hz, the working vibration of the relay is 2 g, the working shock is 30 g, the non working shock is 40 g, and the working shock of the relay is 7.5 g. It also has a working altitude of 2000 meters and a non condensing relative humidity of 5% to 95%.
