Description: Allen Bradley 1771-IFE is a PLC5 analog input module that can be installed compatible with any 1771 I/O chassis. This module has sixteen (16) single ended channels or eight (8) differential input channels. The input voltage and current signal range of each channel can be configured as 1 to 5V dc, 0 to 5V dc, -5 to+5V, -10 to+10V dc, 0 to 10V dc, 4 to 20mA, 0 to 20mA, and 20 to+20mA. This module is used in conjunction with block transmission instructions such as BTW and BTR to send and receive analog data and instructions.

Allen Bradley 1771-IFE is a PLC5 analog input module. This module uses block transfer programming to connect analog inputs to the PLC processor. It uses a 16 bit resolution and performs the required analog-to-digital conversion, and vice versa, to connect analog signals to PLC data table values. If input communication is interrupted, it can automatically respond to faults using the default user configuration. Therefore, it provides predictable and safe response to faults and limits the scope of faults. 1771-IFE is compatible with various applications, such as temperature, pressure, liquid level, flow rate, and other applications. It contains sixteen (16) single ended or eight (8) differential selectable inputs. It has natural binary or BCD scaling to+/-9999 data format. It has a voltage range of -10 to 10 V DC and a current range of -20 to 20 mA. It has a 750 mA backplane current load, 8 channel update times of 8 milliseconds, 16 channel update times of 36 milliseconds, and a 12 bit signed resolution.

The maximum power consumption of 1771-IFE is 2.5 watts and the thermal dissipation is 8.52 BTU/hour. It comes with a 1771-WG wiring arm to replace the module without disconnecting the wiring. It requires a slot for installation in the I/O chassis, with correctly installed keybelts located between pins 10 and 12 of the lower connector and pins 24 and 26 of the upper connector. The front panel of the 1771-IFE module contains green RUN and red FAIL indicator lights. It includes optoelectronic isolation to protect system circuits from electrical transients. It also includes an input filtering function to reduce electrical noise.
