About 1771-OBN

Allen Bradley’s digital DC output module 1771-OBN is provided as an open device and is not suitable for industrial environments greater than Pollution 2 when applied in Zone 2 environments; It should only be accessible through the use of equipment, as it contains components that are easily damaged by electrostatic discharge. Its electrostatic discharge is 4 kV at contact and 8 kV in air.

The isolation voltage of this device is approximately 1500 volts AC root mean square value; It has four sets of eight outputs, a total of thirty-two (32) outputs, with an output voltage range between 10 to 30 volts of DC power supply; Its rated output current is 0.5 A per channel, and its maximum backplane current is 330 mA at 5 volts DC voltage. Its isolation voltage has been tested for 60 seconds and can withstand up to 500 volts.

The maximum “ON” state voltage drop of the 1771-OBN device at 0.5 A is 1.5 V DC power supply, while the maximum leakage current during its “OFF” state is 1 mA per output. It dissipates approximately 13.7 watts maximum and 1.7 watts minimum, with a maximum heat dissipation of 46.7 BTU per hour and a minimum of 5.7 BTU per hour.

The device can be stored at any temperature between -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to 85 degrees Celsius) and operates at temperatures between 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit (0 to 60 degrees Celsius). It can withstand a relative humidity of approximately 5% to 95% without condensation, and has four 4.0 A, 250 V normally blown fuses (one in each group).
