3500-42M BENTLY
The 3500/42M is a Proximitor Seismic Monitor component developed by Bently Nevada. It is a four channel monitor with proximity and seismic sensor inputs. It compares the adjusted signal to a user programmable alarm and adjusts the signal to produce vibration and position readings. The 3500 rack configuration software can be used to program each channel to monitor and report radial vibration, thrust position, REBAM, acceleration, differential expansion, eccentricity, speed, and other parameters.
3500/42M Features
Monitoring channels are set in pairs and can perform up to two specified functions simultaneously. For example, channels 1 and 2 can perform one function, while channels 3 and 4 perform another or the same function.
The Proximitor Seismic Monitor protects machinery by comparing monitoring parameters with selected alarm setpoints in real time and triggering alarms. It informs operating and maintenance personnel about critical machine information.
Depending on the arrangement, each channel typically adjusts its input signal to produce a set of static values. You can establish alarm setpoints for any current static value, or you can set danger setpoints for any two of them.
Use the rack configuration software to set the alarm level for any value measured by the monitor, and set the danger setpoint for any two values measured by the monitor. The alarm can be set to 0 to 100% of full scale for each measured value. When the full scale range exceeds the range of the sensor, the set point is limited by the sensor range.

When the Monitor module is operating normally, the OK LED illuminates.
The TX/RX LED illuminates when the Seismic Monitor module is connected to other modules in the 3500 rack.
If the seismic monitor is in bypass mode, the bypass LED will illuminate.
Buffer sensor: Each channel has its own coaxial connector in front of the display. Each connector has built-in short circuit protection.
