The Bently Nevada 3500/45 Position Monitor is a 4-channel instrument that accepts input potentiometer from proximity sensors, rotary position sensors (RPT), DC linear variable differential transformers (DC LVDT), AC linear variable differential transformers (AC LVDT), and rotary sensors. The monitor adjusts the input and compares the adjusted signal with a user programmable alarm.
You can use the 3500 rack configuration software to program each channel to perform the following functions:

Bentley Nevada 3500 System SIS Module
For three module redundancy (TMR) applications, the 3500 system requires a RIM in the form of TMR. In addition to all standard functions of RIM, TMR RIM also has a “listening channel comparison” function. The 3500 TMR configuration performs monitoring voting based on the settings specified in the monitoring options. In this way, the TMR RIM will continuously compare the outputs of three mutually redundant monitors. If the TMR RIM detects that the information of one display is not equal to the information of another display (within the set percentage), it will mark the display as an error and generate an event in the system event list.
