About 1746-NO8V

Allen Bradley 1746-NO8V is an analog output module that is compatible with the SLC 500 controller. This module provides a voltage output signal within the range of ± 10.25VDC. This module is ideal for controlling regulating devices such as valves, dampers, variable frequency drives (VFDs), louvers, and other devices that operate using analog signals.

The 1746-NO8V has eight (8) output channels with a resolution of 16 bits or 320 µ V/count. It has an output encoding of 32768 to+32767 and has a built-in R-2R ladder network as a digital to analog (DAC) conversion method. It has an output step response of 1 ms or 0 to 95% of full scale, with a single channel update time of 5 ms to update all 8 channels of type 1, and 10 ms to update all 8 channels of type 2.

The total accuracy of 1746-NO8V at 25 ° C is 0.1% of full scale, the total accuracy at 60 ° C is 0.2% of full scale, and the maximum total accuracy drift is ± 33 ppm/° C. It has a load range of 1K ohm or more and a load current of 10 mA (maximum).

The specific nominal output voltage of 1746-NO8V is – 10 to+10VDC- 10.25 to+10.25 VDC; 0 to 10VDC; 0 to 5VDC and 1 to 5VDC. The converted analog data can be configured for each channel to scale engineering units, PID scaling, proportional counting, 1746-NO4 format, and user-defined scaling. The optional output data parameters are user-defined scaling limits, output clamp limits, output alarm limits, slope/limit, preset fault values, output behavior under fault conditions (reset, hold, preset), alarm latches, and reset latch alarms.

The 1746-NO8V has an overall backplane power output of 5.6W and a user selectable DC power supply rated at 24V DC. It has an output voltage range of ± 10.25 V DC and uses an R-2R trapezoidal digital to analog converter with a channel resolution of 16 bits (320 µ V/count). The output step response time of 1746-NO8V is 1ms. It uses about 5ms to update signals on all 8 channels. The load range of 1746-NO8V output can exceed 1K Ω, and the maximum output load current is 10mA. 1746-NO8V has an output impedance of less than 1 Ω and an over range capability of 2.5% (± 10.25V). It provides an overall output accuracy of 0.2% and a drift accuracy of ± 33 ppm/° C, as well as a gain error of 0.15% and a drift error of ± 0.53 LSB/° C. 1746-NO8V provides circuit isolation between field wiring and backplane to protect the chassis and processor from testing at 500V DC, and uses LED lights to indicate module and channel status. Its operating temperature range is 0-60 ° C, non-condensable relative humidity is 5-95%, and it has passed the CUL and CE certification, and can be used in Class I, Zone 2 hazardous locations. The working impact level of 1746-NO8V is 30G, the vibration level is 5G, and the frequency is 10-500Hz.
