About MVI56 MNETC
The MVI56 MNETC module is a TCP/IP client communication module of ProSoft Technology. It is fully compatible with the Allen Bradley ControlLogix processor. This module comes with a 10/100 Mbits RJ 45 Ethernet port and an RJ 45 CFG port, making it easy to connect Modbus devices. This communication module is backward compatible, especially with the ControlLogix backplane. This module is powered by a backplane current load of 800 mA at 5 V DC and 3 mA at 24 V DC. The front of the MVI56-MNETC module has LED indicators for battery status (ERR), application status (APP), and module status (OK). The 4-character screen on the front of the module displays module number, version, IP, application port settings, port status, and error information.
The operating temperature of the MVI56-MNETC module should be between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius, and the module can be stored at temperatures between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius when not in use. The communication module can withstand an impact of 30 g during operation and 50 g during non operation. The MVI56-MNETC module comes with user-defined data memory mapping and can support up to 5000 15-bit registers. This module supports ladder logic and additional instructions for data transmission between the module and the processor. The MVI56 MNETC module supports 10 independent server connections by using service port 502 (MBAP) or service port 2000 (encapsulated). It can accept different Modbus function codes. The communication module can provide a client connection and can send up to 100 commands to communicate with multiple servers.
