ProSoft MVI69-MCM Modbus network interface module is a CompactLogix inRAx Modbus RTU master/slave communication module, which provides the interface mode between Allen Bradley PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) and MicroLogix Programmable Logic Controller (1769-LRP) to connect Modbus compatible devices. The MVI69-MCM is installed on a single chassis slot in the 1769 chassis, and it uses trapezoidal logic to quickly and seamlessly transmit data between modules and processors. The MVI69-MCM consumes a maximum backplane current of 800 milliamperes at a 5 volt DC voltage.

It has an RS-232 CFG port that does not support handshake configuration, as well as two RS-232 application ports (P1 and P2) that support handshake protocol, with 500 volt optical isolation from the backplane. This module comes with an RJ-45 (DB-9F) cable and RJ-45 to DB-9M configuration cable, and has front panel LED indicators to display battery, application, and serial port status. The data transmission rate of the MVI69-MCM is 110 Kilo baud to 115 Kilobaud, and none, even or odd parity can be selected. The data is transmitted in floating point data format. Support Master/Slave communication protocol, and provide configuration data as text files directly to the module.
