However, the disadvantages of this grounding method are: the floor area is too large, the investment is high, the steel consumption of cables and grounding grids is large, there is a considerable distance from the plant (because it is difficult to find a suitable location in the plant), and management, maintenance, measurement, and searching for grounding electrodes and wires are not convenient, and the effect is not very good. According to the actual operation, it is difficult and unsafe to set up a dedicated DCS grounding grid.
