Although managing distribution feeder systems can be a difficult task, GE Multilin’s 750-P1-G1-S1-HI-A20-R simplifies the process and extends the life of the system. Multilin’s feeder management relay is equipped with numerous functions to protect distribution feeder systems, reducing stress on system components, and reducing troubleshooting time through its metering and data logging capabilities.

The front panel of the relay is approximately divided into four parts: a 40 character LCD screen, keyboard, LED, and RS232 port. The 40 character LCD display is alphanumeric and indicates various system values when not in use (configurable by the user). The keypad allows manual setpoint configuration and general navigation of relays. LEDs can indicate when a problem has occurred in the system and also let users know about the active process. Finally, the RS232 port allows for easy and direct connection between a computer running EnerVista 750 software and a relay.

 

The 750-P1-G1-S1-HI-A20-R includes a metering function that determines voltage, frequency, watt hour cost, load trip percentage, and operational and maximum demand equivalents. The relay can use its metering function to trigger an alarm when the circuit breaker maintenance threshold is exceeded. An alarm can be indicated by twenty of the above LEDs of the relay.

Additional security measures can be implemented through password protection to prevent unauthorized setting adjustments. This password protection applies to manual editing from the front of the relay and editing through the EnerVista 750 program. For manual input setpoint configurations, a jumper must be installed on the rear terminal.
