The SST-PB3-CLX-RLL module comes with an “Additional Configuration File” (AOP) that can be easily integrated into the ControlLogix system using RSLogix 5000 software. The data transmission from the SST module to the ControlLogix processor supports two modes; The ‘Direct Mode’ allows for mapping of PROFIBUS data (496 input bytes/496 output bytes) in the I/O processor image, and a ‘Paging Mode’ allows access to the 1984 input bytes and 1968 output byte spaces of PROFIBUS data from user-defined data to be set in the Logix CPU memory.
The remote link library software provides additional functionality for the BradCommunications SST Profibus module, allowing you to remotely monitor or download changes to Profibus configuration. This is achieved by routing data from the BradCommunications SST Profibus DP master configuration software to the Allen Bradley ControlLogix backplane via Ethernet through Rockwell Automation’s RSLinx software. Profibus Scanner can be used on local racks or on remote racks through CIP networks such as EtherNet/IP or ControlNet.
